To make car rental in Baku with Megacity Rent a Car as simple and convenient as possible, we recommend reviewing the main rental requirements in advance. Below you will find detailed and up-to-date information needed to arrange your car hire.

1. 📄 Required Documents

To rent a car from Megacity Rent a Car, the following documents must be provided:

• A valid driver’s license 🚘 (detailed requirements are available here 🔗)
• An international passport 🛂
• In certain cases, an International Driving Permit (IDP) 🌍

2. 🎂 Driver Age and Experience

For safety and insurance reasons, Megacity Rent a Car applies age and driving experience requirements:

• Minimum driver age: 24 years 👦
• Maximum driver age: 65 years 👴
• Minimum driving experience: 2 years 🚦
• Note: Some vehicles may be available to drivers from 21 years old or over 65 years old, subject to a higher deductible and increased deposit. Please confirm details with our managers 📞

3. 💰 Payment and Security Deposit

Megacity Rent a Car offers flexible payment options and transparent financial terms:

• Accepted payment methods: debit cards 💳, credit cards 💳, bank transfer 🏦, cashless payments, and cash 💵
• The security deposit can be paid by card, bank transfer, or in cash
• The deposit amount depends on the vehicle category:
  • Standard vehicles — from 300 AZN 🪙
  • Premium and luxury vehicles — up to 3500 AZN 💎
• Deposit refund terms:
  • Cash deposit — refunded on the return day after vehicle inspection ✅
  • Card payments — refund may take 3 to 30 business days ⏳
• To confirm a reservation, a 20–30% prepayment is required. The remaining balance and deposit are paid upon vehicle pickup 📝
• The deposit may be partially withheld in cases of vehicle damage 🔧, traffic fines 👮‍♂️, missing fuel ⛽, or other violations of the rental agreement ⚠️
